I’m originally from Hartsdale, NY. I recieved my Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University in Speech Communication. My intended track is Broadcast and I hope to focus on Arts and Culture. My personal focus is on music and I hope to get a job as a DJ for a local Rock Station and write for Rolling Stone. Needless to say, MOST of my blog posts will be music/entertainment related…I hope…
I’m trying to become more politically saavy but politics give me a headache. I have a subscription to Crain’s and I read it every week, but I the idea of focusing on that makes me want to throw up in my mouth a little. I also have subscriptions to Rolling Stone & Spin…which I read DAILY ( and yes I know, one’s a monthly, the other’s a weekly, but I’m carrying one or both with me everywhere these days).
Favorite Bands: Tool, Korn, Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, System of A Down, Staind, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Breaking Benjamin, Foo Fighters, Green Day, Incubus, Linkin Park, A Perfect Circle, AC/DC, POD, Silverchair, Stone Temple Pilots, The Smashing Pumpkins, Seether, Soundgarden, Audioslave used to make me cry, but it’s growing on me. To say Led Zepplin & Hendricks is missing from this list is a given, but that’s because I dont’ see how you can say you love rock and hate either. I am developing a new appreciation for Ozzy & Metallica in my old age..but then again I listen to more Guns & Roses now than I did when I was in High School. Also have this insane love for a couple of different types of world music. Maybe not so insane depending on who you ask. LOOOOVE Celia Cruz and a celtic band called Lunasa…Okay I think I’m done…or at least that’s my story and I”m sticking to it.
