Tree Hut Exhibit in Madison Square Park
When walking I am usually in a rush to get some place, most likely to school, back home or to work. It is quite unfortunate because as I am rushing around keeping my eye peeled for the quickest way to duck around other walkers or at the ground so I don’t trip, there are things happening above my eye level. Possibly beautiful views of the cityscape against the setting sun, interesting architecture, funky rooftop decks and sometimes fascinating art in the trees like Tadashi Kawamata’s tree huts in Madison Square Park.
I discovered these tree houses yesterday when walking through the park with my sister. There was not many indicators that such a project was going on except a few 8 ½ by 11 pieces of paper saying what the project was. It was really up to the people themselves to look up and see what was going on. Luckily, I was just taking a stroll with my sister and we were in no hurry, so by chance we noticed the exhibit and checked it out.
